Meet Our Couples: Shahar & Michelle

Shahar and I met while both living in Washington D.C. in 2005.

One of Shahar's closest friends was in visiting who had gone to high school with my upstairs' neighbor. My neighbor convinced me to go out with her while she re-met her old high school friend whom she had not seen for years. I agreed and met Shahar over dinner with the group.

We dated for 5 months before both quitting our jobs and back packing around South America for several months (very not like Michelle...but very much like Shahar)-then we both moved to NY for my (then) new job, and now are here in Atlanta (not even for a week yet...) for Shahar to start law school in August! (We like to travel....)

We got engaged in May and think we'll get married some time next summer.

Meet Our Couples: Bennie & Cobi

My Great Aunt Gladys set up the meeting between Cobi and I. Cobi got my number after wrestling it away from my aunt at a JNF meeting. She smelled new meat from a state away and had to meet this new hunk moving to Atlanta. A few meetings were set up between the both of us because Cobi knows everyone. I asked Cobi if she would like to work for me because I thought she would be great, Cobi had to sleep on it. The next day she decided not to take the job and we fast forward to a conversation to where she says she wanted to get to know me personally and that is why she did not take the job. Since that conversation we have been dating for almost a year and I have regretted it ever since, even as I type this I am being fed skinny cow cookies and cream ice cream, rough life I know. Cobi and I are both very outgoing and love being with people. We enjoy traveling and going to KiKu (a great sushi place.) Judaism is very important to the both of us and we both are proud to be Jewish in our own ways. A few interesting facts: I am a semi professional tailgater and Cobi turns into a midwesterner when she talks to her cats...DONT YA KNOW.

Meet Our Couples: Yoni & Eliana

Yoni and Eliana are both from Atlanta, and they met when they were 9 years old. Yoni came to Eliana's elementary school in the 3rd grade, and they were in school together through 12th grade. They were best friends growing up and were high school sweethearts! They took a bit of a hiatus during their first years of college, she went to University of Maryland and he went to Yeshiva University, but they got back together their Junior year. After graduating they moved back to Atlanta and are now married!
